CT:
All patients with an allergy to Shellfish or CT contrast material are unable to have the CT contrast unless they are pre-medicated. You may contact our office for information about the pre-medication procedure.
If your doctor has order an oral contrast, we can provide at no cost. Must be picked up 48 hours prior to test.
All patients scheduled to have CT contrast that are diabetic must have a CREATININE Blood Test that is less than 30 days old. All patients scheduled to have CT contrast that are over 60 years old must have a CREATININE Blood Test that is less than 60 days old.
All CT patients who are receiving contrast are also required to fast for 4 hours.
US:
Abdominal: NPO (nothing by mouth) 8 hours.
Aorta: NPO 8 hours.
Gall Bladder: NPO 8 hours.
Liver: NPO 8 hours.
Kidney & Bladder (Renals): NPO 8 hours prior to exam. Drink 36 oz. water 1 hour prior to exam and hold bladder until exam complete.
Pelvic: Drink 36 oz. water by 1 hour prior to exam time and hold bladder until exam complete..
PET/CT Fusion:
All patients undergoing PET/CT must follow a specialized diet starting 24 hours prior to testing. We will send a copy via email. Diet may also be accessed on our Patient Forms section.
Sedation:
All patients who are scheduled for sedation must have a driver who is required to come in and sign a waiver before the sedation will be administered. Patients receiving oral sedation may have a light meal prior to their exam time. Oral sedation that is provided by Rocklege MRI is subject to a $5.00 charge.
